Travel with AP and H1 Extension

My wife and I got the 7th year extension on my H1. Our visa stamps expired on March 4th. We got our AP\'s also. Now, my wife wanted to visit her parents in India. Do I need to get the passports stamped for this ...? (revalidation - $240 for both of us...!!!!) or can she use the AP instead..? will they ask at the POE why your visa stamp expired in March and you left only in July..? We have our I-797\'s. Is this ok to travel with that and AP...?

AP is ok for the spouse.

If they ask the Q about march expiry and July departure - show them the 797 approval . Moreover is AP valid during March?
Status is adjustee from the RD of 485 . So do not have to worry about status.
Only thing to decide is to whether to use AP or H1 (she can show an expired stamp and a new approval ) to enter. Don\'t forget to get the new I94 in both cases.
