Travel to India on AP - Need Advice

If you are outside USA and your GC gets approved then you can't enter USA even if your H1 is valid and stamped. Coz your status in USA has already changed to "immigrant". You cannot then enter on "non-immigrant" as well.

The POE is always able to grant you deferred inspection or parole you in, even if you don't have AP.

All Guru's Please help...

I am planning to visit India in November, I have received my AP and EAD already. My H1B VISA is already expired but I have H1B approval till Sep 2008 with my current employer, But I am planning to use my AP while I am coming back to US instead getting my VISA stamp in India

1) If I use my AP does it INVALIDATE my H1B ??? - (If so, Do I have to work on my EAD to my current employer???)

2) Do I need to show my ORIGINAL I485 receipt, while I am returning back to US OR Copy is fine (I have a copy of my I 485 receipt )???

Please advice....Thanks in Advance...

You will be able to use the H1 visa starting Nov 1st to return to US even if you did not receive AP. Is it a hassle to get the H1B stamp in India?
