Travel on H1 - Urgent help required

I have a valid visa stamped in my passport from company A that is valid till July 2005.
I am in India now but before I left US, I applied for a visa transfer to company B. I intend to come back and join Company B.
Do I need to get my visa stamped for company B before I enter US? If not what document should I show at the port of entry. Do I need a 797 (visa approval) or just the receipt notice be enough?

------ if you get H1 transfer approval then let the company mail it to you, once you enter at POE show passport Visa and H1 transfer approval and you will get I-94 till the validity of H1 transfer approval, check your I-94 date at POE. If you show only the Visa stamp then you will get I-94 till your Visa stamp,if H1 gets approved after you reach US then it will be better because it will have NEW I-94 attached with H1 transfer approval and that will be Last action and latest I-94 will rule
