Travel after biometrics but without rtd

How safe is it to leave the country after biometrics are taken but the RTD hasnt been issued yet. I need to leave in 2 days. I'm planning to use my NP to enter into the country I'll be visiting. When my RTD is mailed to my hse, I'll have a friend send it via courier to where I'll be at.
Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated
 
it is a risk, what if the RTD wasn't issued for you for some reason? or it was lost in mail... OK, I'm exaggerating but be careful
 
Do you have a GC? If you don't, you CANNOT use your NP, and if you leave, you CANNOT come back if the RTD is not issued.
