Hi,
i am schduled for Interview in Houston NOV-21, and i have told by many that i have to surrender my green card at the interview if i pass.
I am planning a travel to Canada NOV-24 for 4 days, so if they take my Green Card at interview time how can i enter the US ?

Please advice i already made my travel reservations ?

You've been misinformed. You don't have to surrender your GC until the oath ceremony.

Well this I think will depend. If Houston allows same day Oath ceremonies as your interview, then yes I think you would do the interview, get the oath done that day and you would have to surrender your GC and apply for an expediated passport.

If Houston doesn't do same day Oath, then you would have nothing to worry about as was previously mentioned in the post above.

Even if it is same day oath, I'm sure they could arrange something possibly to not do it that day and just sign you up for the next oath ceremony. Just talk to the IO if this is the case...
