I would very much appreciate if any of you help me. I know traveling via London requires transit visa. What about Paris/Amsterdam/Frankfurt/Zurich? Or, how to know that which country require transit visa?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks

You did not post where you are going from US and your citizenship country or the passport you are having. if you are from India then I think you dont need Transit visa if going/coming through Amsterdam. You should ask your travel agent when book the ticket.
** If you are from India and going to India from Newark, NJ with Jet Airways one does not need transit visa.

Thanks

Ginnu, thanks for your response. You are right. I should have posted where I am going. I am from India and going to Delhi. Ginnu, you told about Amsterdam. What about Paris/Zurich/Frankfurt? Should I call the embassy? They may know.

-------------I dont know.

Still you are not providing info from where in US you are taking a flight for India. One can help if you post full details. FYI from Newark, NJ or from JFK they have Many direct flight for Delhi or Bombay. I made a trip to Bombay with Continental Airlines (non Stop) and Trip to Bombay with Jet Airways and both are good airlines. Continental Airlines has direct nonstop for Delhi also.

You can ask your Travel agent for more info before you book the flight.

Thanks

Once again, thanks Ginnu for your help. I will be flying from Chicago. There are direct flights to Delhi. However, flights via Paris/Frankfurt etc. are cheaper (around $500). That is the reason, I am trying to find out. If not, I will book direct flight.

Re-Thanks

Ginnu you are great! This link is very informative. Now I have some information to take decision. Thanks Once again, Ginnu.

AP Travel

Ginnu, I seek your advice. I am not much aware of immigration information. You have wealth of knowledge on this. I have an approved AP valid till November-09. In last october, I went to China on busineess tour and returned on AP. For my upcoming visit to India and return to USA, (BTW, I booked a direct round trip from Chicago to Delhi quite cheap, around $1000), should there be any problem, if I use the same AP.

Ginnu, as always, thanks for your help!

If you have Valid AP with Multiple trips then you can use the AP.

Thanks

Ginnu thanks for your response. I have a valid AP, also approved I 140 etc. (not relevant, I believe). But how do I know that I can use my AP for multiple times?

If you filed form I-131 for multiple trips then AP should be approved for Multiple trips. If you don’t understand then show all the AP copy to your lawyer. One gets 2 or 3 copies of AP.
Check the approved AP and it should have info on AP. look for word Multiple trips or word M

Thanks

I am safe. Ginnu, I checked my AP. Yes, it is for multiple times. Thank you very much Ginnu. You are a nice guy.
