Hi, I have applied for my I-485 and have not completed my 180 days. I am currently with Company A and it looks like company A may not have me till the end of my 180 days. I am still awaiting for my EAD to arrive though I have received a receipt that they are processing the the EAD appln.

What are the chances I have to not have my green card processing messed up if I am terminated before 180 days from Company A.

Another Company B is willing to file for my H1 transfer. What will be the effect of making the H1 transfer before and after 180 days.

Thanks for the advise.

regards

--- Try to stick with the company till you cross 180 days and request them not to revoke I-140, I don’t know if I-140 was approved then you filed I-485 if it is concurrent filing then I-140 should be approved and then count 180 days for use of AC21
---Read below if your case is concurrent filing

--- read the above, if you feel that you may not be eligible for AC21, better change the job with H1 transfer, do not join with EAD

------ It is good for you to file H1 transfer and maintain H1 with new employer, 180 days does not matter it has nothing to do with H1, and H1 will be your safety and you can also request your new employer to file New LC for you as back up, if the I-485 is still pending when you get new LC approved then your new I-140 once approved can be attached with pending I-485, If I-485 is denied then you will have H1 status to work and stay in US, try to get the approved LC copy or copy of letter from SESA that was sent to your past lawyer/employer when your LC was filed with SESA or copy of I-140 receipt, -485 filing receipt, all these documents will be helpful for you to get 7th year H1 extension and if you are eligible for AC21( same/similar job, I-485 pending more than 180 days if based on approved I-140 or after I-140 approval date and employer should not revoke I-140 for180 days when I-485 is pending based on approved I-140) the LC copy will be help full to new lawyer to draft letter for AC21 and may write the same job duties looking at LC
