Traking DOL list for California due to 245I Part 3

What is the situation ?

Hi,
What could be the situation at DOL ?
Are they working on applications or stopped working
due to some other "high priority" issues ?
Or they are working and have problem with their automated mail system
and phone system which is not getting updated ? I wish probably this
is the reason.
Could someone check with their attorneys (mine have no info) ?

iglon, how did you got this "latest" info?

Last I read, DOL was not updating their system. And as somebody suggested DOL stopped updating after \'misuse\' of there email/phone system.

I think we should stop putting our analysis/critical comments about working of DOL on any discussion boards. Doing so we will rub someone on wrong side and do harm to ourselves. Best we can do is to post any personal information like approval/rejection/rfe etc and/or ask question/seek suggestions. And let individual do the analysis and draw conclusions.

This will be good to all of us using this BB.

These are my thoughts and a humble request to all concerned.

how risky is RIR case now?

don\'t want to offend but did hear from a friend that his RIR case was reject by DOL because the company were not hiring people.

I did not see anything in this article which would be confirming your guess.
The good thing is that the layoffs that count are those which took place during the last 6 months from the date then CO starts looking at the documents.
Most of the layoffs took place in 2001 so most of us will be safe at least with point II.
 
DOL still working on April 30 cases

My priority date is Apr 30th 2001 and I filed my case in RIR. I got a last information from my lawyer that my case has been transferred from SESA to DOL on 11th Nov 2001.I haven\'t got any info thereafter. Any body in the forum can help me?.

I spoke with my lawyer today he told me that the last case that he received approval notes was with PD April 30 2001.
Also he said in 2001 SESA received 75000 cases.
 
it is right. 245i is not done in DOL yet

I have a friend. His PD with SESA is 4/3/01 and was transferred to DOL on 11/6/01. He did not hear anything back from DOL.
 
Hi Does this mean the same delay will continue with I140 or it will not

Does this mean same delay may continue with I140 or will not due to the category. Under what category does 245i cases will be classified, Can any one throw some light.

Looks like they have stopped processing RIR cases at SF DOL... anyone has any updates???

Because i see in the automated response mail that in my company, one of the case got approved on 4/10/02 which has the received date of early 2000, which looks like a NON RIR case.

I don\'t normally post to these news groups.
But I see so much desperation & pessimism in this board,
that I thought I could cheer you guys up with some
news that I heard from my attorney.
My labor cert is pending with the DOL like all of you.
My RD is Nov 23, 2001.
My attorney tells me that DOL is processing cases in the
middle of November.
I trust her words cause she is very knowledgable about
these issues!
No doubt all of us are very frustrated at the
uselessness of DOL. But we have no choice but to wait
it out!
All of us, get to this board to see some light at the end
of the tunnel. We all look for some good news that will shed
some hope that we can take back & return tomorrow with more
hope!
So please please dont post rumours or speculations that go:
"DOL seems to be rejecting RIR", "DOL stopped working" & so on..

Hi guys the reason we look here for is for some info update.
I could console myself only with the following reasons for the delay in DOL
1) Going by the numbers and dates posted, the volume during this period was simply huge, which has reducced in the subsequent months
2) the guys who got approvals can atleast take few minutes to update others - i donot see most of the guys updating the board when they get the approval.

So kindly post updates of approvals which will help in analysing the time periods taken.
