Tracker:485 Approvals after Retrogression:Oct to Dec 2005

Hi pritamr,
congratulations again.
I need some info, after your I-140 approved you said that you joined in different company, did you used AC21 ? did you send AC21 papers to USCIS ?
your previous company not revoked your I-140 ?

I am wondering if we use AC21, we can carry the same priority date ?

Hi Pritamr,

I am immensly pleased to share with you that, I have just seen an email that my I-485 has been approved. I am unable to belive it. I will double check all the EAC-----numbers with the receipt notice on Monday, which is in attorney's office.
Meanwhile can you please answer my question ?

After I-485 approval howlong does it take to get the card ?
And how the message changes in case status login ?
I remember, you were writing that case status changed to "card ordered"
Can you please write on what will happen after I-485 approval notice email.

I am doubtful about my receipt number.....
I want to double check it.....with attorney's office.
That is why I did not share with all of our forum friends.
I need to tally the EAC number with the original receipt notice. Last time attorney gave me the numbers over phone.

I-485 Approval

Dear All,

It has been a great surprise to see the I- 485 approval email, on this
Saturday, stating that this cas has been approved on 03/31/2006, which I
have seen on Sunday late. Here are my case perticulars;

EB2/VSC:
LC PD : June 2000 ( RIR)
140/485 : RD 09/26/05, ND 10/03/05

140 : AD 03/24/06. Not even is a single LUD
485 : AD 03/31/06. Not even is a single LUD
Email recived on 04/01/06.
I did not apply for EAD and AP.
Spouse : I-485 RD : 09/26/05, AD:03/31/06.

Intresting thing is I-485 got approved exactly in a week of I-140 approval.

Can anybody tell, usally what will be the next step after I-485 approval ?
I mean, howlong does it take USCIS to desptech physical card ?
Will there be another case status update, stating the card has been
dispatched ?

I rember in good olden days, people used to go for ( I-551) stamping soon
after I-485 approval. But later, these days, everybody is getting cards in
mail by a week or later.

Please advise me on this.

I am in NJ. Usally any mail from Vermont to NJ comes in 3 days.
Our HR confirmedly told they usally receive approvals or notices witin 3 days.
But so far none in my case.
But I found an upate stating that card order is completed and mailed the cards...

I-140/485 : RD 09/29/05, ND 10/03/05
I-485 LUD : 11/05 - FP RESULTS RECEIVED....

No cards, yet as of today.

If you are far from VT, mail might take a day or two more...

Can you share your 485 ND and other details. Is labor Sub or your original?
 
Congratulations to sreesai and Amagilaj and others with final approvals.
This is such a positive thread, I have been with this forum from the days when my Labor was dead, first with the DOL and then with the Backlog Cntr. Then I became part of the 140 - 485 thread, this thread is so much more positive.
Coming here one sees notices which lift hope because there's always someone who has good news to share.

Keep those spirits up.
 
FP code for 485 approval & GC to be ordered

Both FP1 and FP2 in my case were Code 1. Does that mean I would have to wait for another FP (Code 2 or Code 3 - Biometrics), in order for my I-485 to be approved and the card to be ordered ?

I would appreciate any information on this.

Waiting for the snail mail to catch up and the actual cards.

EB3/Skilled Worker/India
I140- Applied 05/02
I140- Approved 04/04
I485- Receipt date 04/04 EAC0415XXXXXX
1st EAD approved 08/04
Started Working for company B 11/04 (AC21)
FP-03/05
2nd EAD Approved 06/05
Nothing after that and suddenly got an RFE on 01/20/06 Asked for employment letter stating hiring date, renumeration and future prospects of employment. Also pay stubs for the last 3 months. Have sent them letter and pay stubs from company B.

At last, the journey ended successfully. It has been 6 years.

Finally our (mine and Spouse) application are approved. See below for details.

I was a silent reader of this tracker for the past few years. I have found this tracker very helpful in many ways.

Both our application were filed together. Both of us had our finger printing together. We got our AP/EAD approved almost at the same time (mine came 1 day after my spouse).

My priority dates become current this month.

My I-485 message never changed from the beginning. After my finger printing, just had a LUD. I never got a message saying that finger printing results received and case processing resumed. The first message change on my 485 application was that it was approved. Both of our cases were approved on the same day.

Good luck for all the others that are waiting for their turn.

Hi All,
I recd plastic cards for me and my spouse yesterday.Please see signature for the details.Currently my spouse is in India. I am planning to go and come back with her in mid of July. Can she use the approvaed card at the port of entry? or she has to show the AP and 485 approval notice or all of them.. ?Please also let me know is there any time limit to stay ouside USA while your 485 is pening . My spouse would be completing 7 months on July out side USA... Is there anything I should consider? Please post your valuable comments./suggestions/exp if any

I dont think you have anything to be worried about, although once on GC you have to maintain 6 months presence in the US to maintain your permanent resident status. There is a form you can fill to ask for a 2 yr leave of absence to circumvent even that rule but I am sure you know all that.

Even so, I would definitely check with my lawyer to be absolutely sure.

One Q for you, what is the precise date of your LC priority date. I am 10 April and have been seeing a lot of March 02 approvals - so just wondering.
