Colorado Passes Tough Immigration Bill
Measure Would Require 1 Million People To Verify Citizenship

CO: State lawmakers approved a measure that would force a million people receiving state or federal aid to verify their citizenship,

part of a package of bills dealing with illegal immigration that Democrats called the toughest in the United States.

The measure would deny most non-emergency state benefits to illegal immigrants 18 years old and older — forcing people to prove legal residency when applying for benefits or renewing their eligibility.

Amen! Every state should do what Colorado does. Screw the illegals who waste the government's time and taxpayers' money.

wow jimmy, Thats a little Harsh, as some of the Illigals contribute a great deal as well,

I do agree However, that those who do not go through the proper channels to gain legal rights to work and reside here should not be given public assistance. especially when they go out of their way to avoid following the laws of this nation. The moment they enter the USA illegally they are committing an act of defiance so they should not be allowed to get State or federal assistance of ANY kind until enter through the proper channels and go through the same process all the members of this forum are going through.

Congress should also pass a law agaisnt any USC children born of Illegal Immigrants filing for their illegal parents to become citizens, A lot of immigrants enter the country illegally ( no Customs inspection they Sneak in) and then have children here , once their USC children turn 18 they get their children to petition them. They are not held accountable for ther criminal acts.

Well. there is no such loophole. it's free for them to apply, but it'll not be approved.

Wondering if this bill would pass in CA .....

Umm yea it was called Proposition 187. Passed then struck down by ultra-left judges...which is what will happen in colordao as well. So the pro-illegal crowd can rest easy. LEGAL immigrants and US taxpayers can rest assured they too will continue getting slapped in the face.
