Seems there is alot of legislation being considered. The one peice of info that I have not heard before is this....
In addition, high-tech workers who have worked in the U.S. for three years may be allowed to adjust to permanent resident status without regard to the annual cap of 140,000.
Has anyone else heard this 3 year requirment before? It probably does not affect many people, but it is an important point to note.

It seems like this is being used by the Republican Senate leadership to muddy the waters so much that everything gets put back on the back burner. Shusterman http://www.shusterman.com reports on his ticker news that basically this third bill may bring the curtain down on Immigration Reform legislation in this Congress!the policy of if you can't beat them...confuse them!

Here is the summary of the final Budget Reconciliation proposals http://budget.senate.gov/republican/pressarchive/2005-10-26RECSummary.pdf. You need to read the very last proposals on page 5 of this PDF document.
Moving forward, it seems!
