TN to L1B to GC Indian Born Canadian

Hi,

If my I-140 is approved and since L1B is only extendable upto 5 years. Can I change my status from L1B to TN if I have to wait for Green Card, since I am Indian born and wait time is too long.
 
Yes (if you and your job are TN-eligible), or, since you have approved i-140, you can try to switch to H1-B (again, if you and the job are H1-B-eligible) and have unlimited extensions until you get GC (or EAD at an earlier step in the process).

I only mention the eligibility requirement, since L1 admits a broader range of jobs and qualifications than TN or H1-B.
