Hi,
U.S. based company gave me an offer last Thursday. I was expecting written version and reference check. Since nothing happened until today, I gave them a call. HR manager sent me this:
It seems that you are ok to work on our commercial line but restricted for the military side of the business. We will have to seek the appropriate ITAR license from the State Department which could take up to three months. In the meantime we will try to get you approved for hire pending successful licensing. If for whatever reason, we are unsuccessful getting the license (which I cannot see why we would be) we would have to terminate our agreement.
I have dual citizenship ( Canadian + Serbian-Balkans ), and I read that dual citizenship could be potential problem. Did anybody have similar problem? Is there any chance that I can obtain ITAR license?
