TN status and children

hello all,
I have 2 questions, any input will be greatly appreciated.
1. Do the children need to be present at the border when applying for TN status or can one just bring their passports.
2. Can one still get a TN status when their spouse is already a resident
( TN status if approved , so much faster the canadien residency process)
Thank you

The children must be physically present when applying for TD status.

A resident of where?

Let's say, a US citizen married to a canadian resident. Can the US citizen apply for Nafta visa in canada? the sponsorship process seems so long.
thanks

This site deals with Cdns/mexicans getting TN status for work in US.

You need to consult a site that deals with Cdn immigration to discuss a nafta visa to work in Canada.

It's not called TN or TD.
