TN renewal

Hi! I'm leaving on thursday to toronto by air, I'm confused about my I-94 should I take it off from my passport or leave it. Some says, I will take it off, but I'm not sure about it.
Second, my return flight will be on sunday, but I'm planning to go to Naigara falls (peace bridge) on friday.. Is it ok if I will go there in the POE and renew/apply my TN? or should I apply in the airport at the time of my departure on sunday? thanks!!

I would not waste my time going to a POE if you are flying.

Also, since you are getting a new TN, it really doesn't matter what happens to your old I-94, does it? It only matters if you want to re-enter on the existing Tn, which apparently you don't.
