Hi,
I came to US on H4 (wife was already on H1) from Canada. I started applying for jobs here and got job through a consulting firm (TekSystem) after I cleared their client's interview. Since I was offered job by client, TekSystem went ahead and gave me a TN letter (Computer System Analyst). (My Degree is in comp sc and engg and I have worked on TN in past in USA)
I went to Blaine POE with my wife. I gave the officer my documents (Degree, evaluation certificate, job letter) and she gave me a piece of paper to write what duties I will be doing. As I was writing that she called me and said that the job duties are not in line with CSA and the person who signed this letter was not authorized to sign. She told us that she is not giving us TN today and we can come back tomorrow with corrected letter.
I came back to US got a new TN letter from a lawyer of TekSystems and went to Blaine POE second day. There was another officer who took my papers and called after some time after having a chit chat with his colleagues and told me that he cannot issue TN today as my job duties were of a developer. They were NOT developer duties and I told him to compare with OOH hand book. He did not listen to me at all and told me decision is made and I can leave. Since I was on H4 i was allowed to enter US.
After that TekSystems filed for premium processing at vermont processing center under "Engineer" (Software Engineer) and my TN got approved in mail.
My Question is I am planning to go to Toronto next month and when I re-enter US I will have to get my I-94 stamped (Toronto Airport). Will my previous denial at Blaine POE have any effect on my stamping? Can the officer ask me why I applied as CSA before and Engineer now? Is there anything else I should care about?
Lawyer asked me to take Pay Stubs and Job Letter and approval notice when i go.
Thanks in advance for responses.
