Hi,

I am a canadian planning to apply for tn non immigrant status and I have all the necessary paperwork ready however my living arraignments in the USA include moving in with my long term (american) boyfriend who is located near the place I have been hired. I don't know if this is something that will come up at the border but want to make sure it won't be an issue or a reason for my application being denied. Any thoughts or advice on this issue?

I've never heard of this being an issue. You're not married so there is no "immigrant intent". As a TN you aren't required to maintain a Canadian residence so it won't be an issue in the same way that it would be for a tourist.

Remember that if you get married you won't be able to legally enter the US with your TN so plan accordingly. For example, if you get married in the US, you will need to wait until you have EAD/AP before travelling outside the US. Not an issue if not married.

You would not mention "boyfriend" or even "fiance" and the border however as while this means nothing legally to them, it could throw up red flag on your trustworthiness to leave when your TN is up.
