Hi folks,
I am about to send my I-140 being on TN visa and wants consular processing if approved.
In Part 4, processing Information should I select

1) Alien will apply for visa abroad at US embassy or consulate

OR

2) Alien will apply for change of status in US

If approved can I change from 1) to 2) and vice versa.
A quick answer will be appreciated as I have to file by tom.

It is possible to go from 2) to 1) by filling form I-824. I am not sure if 1) to 2) is possible.
 
To answer your first question, if you want Consular processing, you choose option 1.

TO answer your other question.

If you choose CP on I-140, the way to change to AOS is simple: Just file I-485. Form I-824 does not apply.
To switch from AOS to CP, file I-824, as bigboy mentioned.
