TN interview without the actual diploma

Hello folks,

I'll graduate from my master program in April but the actual diploma paper won't be issued until June. I am wondering for the visa interview if it's okay to just bring the transcript and a school letter (stating the degree can be conferred etc.. )

Another question is my bachelor is nothing to do with the job field that I'll get for the TN but only my master is. Should I bring my bachelor's transcript/diploma for the interview or my master should suffice?

Thanks!

This does not typically work. Go for the "interview" (it isn't) and be prepared to wait until you transcript actually states degree conferred. Since your Bach is not working for you , you will need the masters

It may work, however, if the degree has actually been conferred which sometimes occurs before the ceremony where the diploma is presented. For example, my last degree was conferred on Jan 6, 1994 even though the big ceremony where I got the diploma didn't occur until Jun 12, 1994. The diploma--once I did receive it--says Jan 6, 1994. As the degree was from a US university, however, I was on post completion OPT during that period so I don't have direct experience with applying for a TN during that phase.

During that five month period, however, I had a letter from the university and a transcript stating that the degree had already been conferred in January--not merely that it was expected to be conferred in June.

The transcript is the key, as mentioned. Previous experience reported here with only a letter was unsuccessful.
