Hi,
I lived in USA, before I moved and became canadian citizen. So I had to apply for US visa waiver and they approved initially for a year. In which I can visit there like B1/B2 visa type with I-94 card attached and valid for six month at a time. Now I want to apply for TN visa under Electronics Technologist category. Can I get it if I have a employer? also I have my education evaluation was done by ECE(Education credential evaluators inc, www.ece.org) about 10 years as as Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics engineering. Plus I am certified applied science technologist in ontario, canada. If I have good employer then, is it possible to apply and qualify for TN visa? How hard the case looks like?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanking you in advance

The waiver is meaningless to this discussion.

Your case looks pretty straightforward. SciTechs need a job offer, documentation of their own credentials, as well as those for whom they will be directly working for (ie. the specific person whose work you would be supporting)

I've had nine scientific tech. TN's without a technician's diploma (but I did have some specific education and work experience) pertaining to the field. Like nelsona said, it's straight forward. The only thing you might want to consider is having the credential service update your review.

If you notice, nelsona also mentions the person you will be supporting. The scientific technician is usually to support and engineer. If there is no engineer on staff, then you may need to be supporting an engineer or engineering firm outside wherever the the offer is made. As an example, where I work, there is no direct engineer on staff. What we do is we get plans and specifications from outside consulting engineers and we do the nitty gritty design work for them.

Pay rate

what is the average pay rate required for technologist/technician for TN job?
Is Bachelors degree required for technologist/technician job to qualify for TN?
Is there any web site where I can find more info or sample job offer letter?

Thank you.
