TN application with a US remote position

I currently live and work in New York on a TN-1. I've been approached by another company with a much better offer, that is based and has an office in California.

Im wondering if this job offer qualifies for a TN-1, as I would be working from home in New York, on the other side of the country from the office location. Does the TN letter need to mention that I will be working remotely in New York, and if so will that impact the chances of success? Or should I be ready to move to California?

TN is not location specific, but is employer specific - you can be anywhere in the USA while working for the employer whose name appears on your TN.
