TN and TD visa renewal questions

Hi all,

My current TN visa expires soon and I want to know if I can travel alone with passports of my family members for their TD visa renewal. This way, we can save some money for travel. If it has to be done in person, I will have to bring them with me.

Has anyone done this before? This is my fourth TN and I have traveled with them all the time.

Thus, a mail-in I-539, one submission price for all TDs, might make more economic sence.
