TN and Full Time Work Offer

I have been working on temporary basis on TN visa. But my question is can you work full time in US with TN visa if employer offered me a full time offer? I now TN is only valid for 1 yr. If the employer offered me a full time offer, does the employer have to provide me with offer letter each year so I can work as full time?

I think by "full time" you mean "permanent"?

Tn can now be for 3 years and has always been available for full-time permanent positions.

The "temporary" part is the term of validity. It can be for a "permanent" position in the company.

What I mean full time is permanent. Thank you Nelsona. 3yr TN is valid for permanent position but not 1yr TN? I have always gotten 1yr TN visa and then very year I renew it. Getting a 3yr TN visa is same as 1yr TN visa? Just have the offer letter with length of work to be 3yrs rather than 1yr?

The lack of clarity of this poster is troubling. This and the other thread they are posting on is very ambiguous and frustrating.
