My wife was on H4 and she got her H1 after filing for change of status. Her H1B starts October 1 2005. She also applied for her SSN on October 1st. She does have her TIN. Can the payroll be run using the TIN till the SSN is issuued.
The present employer will give the paystub only after she gets the project. Is there any time limit (60 days? or so?) within which she has to get the paystub, or else can she be out of status?
In the meantime, she has been got a permanent offer in another company and therefore wants to do a H1B transfer. Can she do that because she hasnt got her paystub?
