I am planning to file N400 90days before GC date.
Section 7 in N400 requires Travel Dates outside USA in last 5 years. So, from when should I count 5 yrs
1) From the GC date
2) From the time when I file my N400 (90 days before GC).

The bottom line that do I need to mention my travel dates for Consular Processing.

THANKS

From memory, since I don't have an N-400 in front of me, you will need to list all overseas trips you've made since becoming an LPR, and separately the total up the number of days you've been outside the US in the past 5 years (3yrs if applying based on marriage).

The first part seems pretty self explanatory, with no need to include CP travel not required, while the total number of days for the Physical Presence question should be computed based upon your date of application (its a rolling window).

Hope that helps

Agree with Boat here. I double checked it myself. I first thought it was trips "within last 5 years", but then realized it was "since you got p.r.". So I listed all trips since then, which was more than 5 years ago.

Hi,

I’m applying based on 3 years from marriage.

In the N400 it asks:

“How many total days did you spend outside of the United States during the past five years?”

Do I need to use a different form or should I just put the days in the past “3 years” instead of “5 years”?

Thanks

Barryil
