ties to Canada and POE recommendation

Hello,
Here is another question.

I would appreciate if anybody who got TN recently at the border, can recommend a POE. I am thinking about Buffalo area.
By the way is it better to go on weekdays or weekend? Previously I was always going at weekend.
I had terrible experience last year at Pierson airport. The officer was a female and she was really really rude. By reading forums, I found that it was not only me who had hard time there. This is why I am asking.
In addition I was told that next time I have to prove my ties with Canada, otherwise my visa will be denied. It will be my 6th year on TN
I do not have an official lease, but I have a phone setup in the private house that I do not own. I have Canadian Bank account too.
Will it be enough to prove ties? They will be probably asking for Canadian tax return and official lease that I do not have.

Thanks a lot

Don't bother trying to prove the flimsy ties you -- you simply don't need to. the officer you spoke to last time was just trying to scare you.

Thank you, nelsona

Anybody can mention recent experiences at POE, negative or positive in Buffalo/Niagra Falls area? Any other area from Niagra Falls to Vermont/Quebec border including Ogdensburg, Thousand Islands, highway 87/Autorute 15.
Last year I have heard positive responses about Peace Bridge. But I do not have info this year.
Is there any site that tracks POE on their "friendliness"? :) I have seen one but info was very old.

Hello,
I had terrible experience last year at Pierson airport.

Pearson sucks, I talked to a guy who was denied TN there last year, because his job offer letter was for Software Engineer and he did not have a Software Engineering degree. There were other cases similar to that one that happened at that POE. Ogdensburg is not too bad. I had a relatively painless experience with it. But I would recommend Nasau, Bahamas or even Mexico to any Canadian POE, especially in the winter. Of course, times are different now, and officers rotate at any POE, so you never know.

Peace Bridge (Fort Erie ON - Buffalo NY) has always been a pleasant experience for me. I got 2 TN's there a few years back in the Sci-Tech category and have always crossed there during visits home with no issues. Officer Tiranno did my first TN, and some younger officer did my 2nd. Officer Tiranno has been mentioned on here before as being a good and professional officer there. I wonder if he's still at that POE.

The Peace Bridge is fine, though I've only been there once. They key is they have people on staff who know what the actual regulations are, which is all you really need. You don't need any ties to Canada at all - it has nothing to do with the TN.
