probably you have not lived India enough! I pity you!!
So you are saying that, if your roots are from India, you cannot criticize aspects of India or Indian system?
USA is exactly what you want India to become. Situation(All the factors) in the USA are result of economic evolution. Economic growth will have a lot of effect on family and cultural system. The only thing, at this time, about life in India that is better (For lack of a better term) for a person is, family and friends.
Even the close knit family structure is soon going to disappear, if India keeps developing. You can see these days people are moving into the IT hubs for employment. Away from the family. This kind of dynamism will increase but not decrease. USA was like that, a long time ago. Big families, relatives and cousins living together in same neighborhood etc.
Apart from the above mentioned plus, India is still a big mess. There is no visible action on environment. I pity the future generations. They destroy anything green and build apartments. They have buildings but no parking. Extreme greed and selfishness everywhere. Grab the land as quickly as possible. There is no sense of community. Unless the mindset changes there is no hope. I don't even want to get into casteism, groupism, rampant nepotism toward same caste etc.
For all those people who think India is the place to live for all practical purposes, I wonder what keeps you in this forum?
