The Real Trend Of CSC Processing Speed

Not to take away from what Kashmir is doing - this is incredibly fantastic work, however because of the work he has done - specifically giving us all a view into the actual processing that is happening at CSC, we get a "false" sense of optimism because we see cases being approved and being touched.

(Although we have even seen the numbers taper off in the last couple of weeks even in this scan that he does.)

However we still get a false sense of optimism as Kashmirs data set is getting close to being a complete view of all cases for WAC02.

PCee's list and trends has a longer history, (although not nearly as complete a data set because it's voluntary of people that actually visit this site) and because of the fact that it has a longer history, we can get a real sense of the actual approval speed at CSC.

In the graph below, I have plotted the last 14 months of approvals from PCees spreadsheet.

The interesting trend to note is apart from an intial blip in February, approvals have dropped off to virtually nothing, being so slow that PCee only updated his spreadsheet once in the last month.

The other interesting thing to note is that if you correlate the approvals on PCees spreadsheet (voluntary update of PCees users) with the total approvals we see from Kashmirs work and then extrapolate that to the approval levels on PCees spreadsheet prior to last November, it gives you an appreciation of how many approvals we should be seeing from Kashmirs sheet on a daily basis....more like 200-400 per day, not 5-10, if CSC were actually off their asses and processing at normal speed.

I agree, CSC has slowed down again .. still not as bad as what it was between Nov. and Feb. But still pretty bad.

I don't know about that, I would tend to be more believing of Kashmir's statistics as compared to PCee's database. For the simple reason that it has a larger sample space and more of a direct plug in into the INS/BCIS system.

While I can imagine INS not updating case information on the online status checker, I find it difficult to believe that they will post incorrect approval status. And those approvals/cases being touched are what Kashmir is picking up.

Offcourse this is INS we are talking about, hence the fluctuations in speed. There is no futuristic trend that you can draw from the data presented. The cases being touched have tapered off, and it is a cause of concern, but other than the petition what else can we do?

My lawyer inspite of being a big name in the business and a member of AILA, takes 48 hours to get back to me on a simple confirmation that they have received a copy of my EAD approval. INS is closing down service lines. Is there any recourse? All we can do is sit and bemoan our fates!

What is the update on the petition? I would like to know what Rajiv is doing about it!

Update on the petition,

I sent an email last week to Monica, she replied and said give her a week. I sent an email today as it's been a week...waiting to hear back from her.

As for believing Kashmirs data......without a doubt, it's 100% credible and like you said it's a larger database, that wasn't what I was trying to highlight.

The point of the graph is to show CSC really is doing shit right now, had we had Kashmirs information last year along side of PCees, I think we would see Kashmir showing CSC was appproving 200-400 cases a day unlike what we are seeing now. I think you can make a reasonable conclusion from PCees data overtime on a smaller set when you compare it to Kashmirs almost complete set.
