A very interesting fact: Hope Alive got approved BEFORE his fingerprint scheduled date.. Which means, GO DO THE FINGERPRINTS AS EARLY AS YOU CAN!! If you have got the notice, of course (sigh)..

EAD approved on 10/16 (AVM)

Gurus any idea how long does it take to get the EAD card after approval. I have changed my residence, but haven\'t updated the INS. Will mail forwarding cause any problems in EAD delivery.

Might count could you pls update my data.

I am new to this forum. lot of useful information.
Getting used to terminology here. Can somebody tell me
what is AVM and IIO.

Here is my details :

RIR EB2 WAC-01-165 xxxxx
RD : 04/03
ND : 04/24
EAD: 07/11
FP : Waiting
Loaction : San Jose
 
Looks like most of the early april mailers already received FP.
I am worried still I haven\'t recived FP. Is there any reasons INS
can delay the prcoessing. Where can I find out status of I485.

I am still waiting for my EAD approval. I hope that I got it too. I will call AVM to check it out.

Hi,

I received my fingerprint notice today.
AVM said sent out the notice on 10/11, but postmark is 10/15.
Schedule on 11/1/01, at 1pm in South EL Monte. I will go there to have my fingerprint done on 10/25.

My current location is Atlanta, GA. My company\'s headquarter is in LA, so my I-485 is processed in CSC.

Wow ! I-485 approved.

Hi Guys,

I am very happy to inform you all that my I-485 has been approved on 17 th October, 2001 as per AVM. The 485 process was really smooth . No RFE, no interview. However I-140 took a long time i.e 16 months. Anyway we are very happy.

My handle is Mighty count\'s list is rrvv.

Details :

PD : July 1999. (EB-2, India)
I-485 RD : 03/29/01
      ND : 04/16/01

EAD : Oct 5th. Card received on Oct.16.
FP : August 16th (as scheduled).

485 approval : October 17th (as per AVM).

We did not call IIO at anytime. Just checked AVM regularly.

Though our lawyer had mailed my EAD application along with I-485 application, the EAD RD was May 14, and EAD ND was July 3rd (due to mail backlog in April and May).

I would like to thank each and everybody on this board for their suggestion and for sharing information. And i wish all you guys get your approval fast. Special thanks to Mighty count and Ciba for all your efforts.

did FP ahead of time

My FP was scheduled 11/3 in Oakland but I did it yesterday 10/19 in San Francisco (corner of Sansome and Broadway), as Oakland refused to allow me FP ahead of schedule.
The FP office in SF is incredible nice, and they have modern equipment and the INS people are REALLY FRIENDLY.
I also got my interim EAD card renewed in SF (at the usual INS office). This time the cards are valid until April 18, 2002, which is 6 months ahead. My lawyer tells me that I should expect my EAD application to be approved in about two weeks. My RD is April 23, 2001
 
FP notice received and FP done - mighty count please update

Hi all,
FP notice received in mail on Wednesday 10/17/2001 for both me and spouse.
The notice was postmarked 10/15/2001.
Scheduled for Oakland ASC on 11/13/2001.
But we went ahead and did early FP at San Jose ASC (Story Road) on Friday 10/19/2001.
There was no problem, everything went smoothly.
As advised by lot of people on this board we went on the later part of the day,
reached around 3:30 pm (ASC closes at 4:00 pm).
There were very few people (around 1 - 2)
The guard checked the notice and remarked "it is very early, are you going somewhere"
I mentioned about being in the neighborhood.
Anyway, he checked our IDs and asked us to fill out a form.
As soon as we were done, the techinians did our fingerprinting.
There were couple of "Ridge break" alerts. But they kept on doing till they got "pass" for all fingers.
The whole process took around 15 - 20 minutes and we were out by 3:50 pm.
There was only 1 person after us who did FP.
ASC puts up the "CLOSED" sign around 3:50 p.m.
People were very helpful and courteous.

BTW, as mentioned by Bongo and others the AVM never updated for us regarding sending out
FP notices. Its still the same old "received your AOS application ... ..975-999 days".

Mighty count, please update my information and thanks a lot for maintaining the list.
It is very helpful and keeps my sanity.

EAD Approved. No PF yet. RD 04/29 ND 07/09 CACenter

Just Checking AVM, Recording says your EAD has been approved on 10/12 and Request has been sent for New EAD card. This kind of case is taking 90 to 120 days !!!

Is this means that Card Will come in 90 Days !!!
