I need a real advice.

I applied for asylum but did not pass through interview yet. I was illegal in US for about 8 months before applying for I-589. Can I travel outside US (to Mexico) having advance parole if I'll get one before interview. How safe it will be Will I have any chance to be admitted back???

No do not travel until and unless you are granted asylum.

Congratulations! Just like I said, from what you had described I was pretty sure that you were approved. I just developed some "sixth sense" on INS's screw-ups.

thanks, lusiks, you were absolutely right the code had nothing to do with it.
but it's amazing how irrelevant their case satus on-line is and the 800 number people use the same source as general public does while immigration officers don't even trust this website themselves(which was directly admitted to me by the officer who helped me)
