I just want to thank everyone on this form that has ever posted something or replied to one of my posts. I started on this form when I first applied for a K3 visa and now the journey has ended as I became a Citizen yesterday. I went through the whole process without a lawyer because of kind people like yourself who are willing to help people, no matter how silly the question is. So I sincerely thank all of you. Can you plesae share your interview experience?
My interview was pretty standard. I arrived at 8am for my 8:30am appt and was seen on time. I was first taken in to a cubical for the civics test. The guy was very nice and even told some jokes. I can't remember the questions but I was asked to read "How many Senartors are there int he United States" then write "There are one hundred Senators".
Once I had passed I was given a letter stating that I had and told to go wait for my name to be called in a different room. Once there I waited about 15mins until my name called. The IO was also very polite. I told him I had traveled since I applied and he ajusted that in my file. He asked for my green card and I told him that I had lost one of my passports and had brought a police report to prove it. He told me not to worry about it and that people get too paranoid over the interview. He basically just asked me the same questions that are on the N400 form eg: are you a terrorist or belong to a communist group etc. He then printed a form, asked me to double check my info and said congratulations. He told me to go to the waiting area and wait for me oath letter. Another 15min and I was called up to write my name on my photos and was given and Oath date 16 days from then. The whole process took 3 months and 12 days from the day they recieved my application. I hope is goes as smoothly and quickly for you as it did for me.
