TD vs H4 Requirements in US Consulate, Chennai, India

Hi,
I'm a Canadian citizen with a TN status until in March 2012. My fiance is an Indian citizen. After the wedding in Sept 2010 in India, we plan for her to get her TD visa stamped on Indian Passport in US Consulate, Chennai.

I looked at the Chennai Consulate website and got the following document list for a "H4" application:

1. Invitation Letter from Husband.
2. Husband’s passport copies all 36 pages.
3. Husband’s bank statement of last six months.
4. Husband’s last 3 years tax papers.
5. Husband’s paystubs
6. To show minimum 1500 Dollars balance in Husband’s a/c for last 6 months.
7. Husband’s company NOC.
8. Marriage certificate
9. Birth certificate of Husband and Wife
10. All educational document of Wife.
11. Experience letters of Wife.
12. Wife’s bank statement
13. Photographs
14. Marriage album.

I would believe a TD application would require the following at a minimum:
1. Husband's principal TN documents:
A) copy of Canadian Passport (all pages)
B) copy of I-94 and renewal notice
C) NAFTA authorization letter & offer letter
D) Paystubs for last 2-3 months to show "in status"
2. Marriage Certificate
3. Wedding Album
4. Wife's passport
5. Wife's experience letter and educational documents
6. Invitation letter from husband

Is it necessary to furnish the following documents for a TD application?
1. Husband’s bank statement of last six months.
2. Husband’s last 3 years tax papers.
3. To show minimum 1500 Dollars balance in Husband’s a/c for last 6 months.

I would think a TD application should be easier than a H4 application given Canada as a neighbour of the US.

Please advise.

Absent of any clear directive, I would bring the following.

Anything that relates to your TN application.
Anything that demonstrates that you are still in that status with the sponsor
Anything that proves marital relationship.

So, your list looks fine.

Only quiblle is "5. Wife's experience letter and educational documents" Experience as what? A wife? Education as what? A spouse?

Don't make up requirements. She needs no qualifications, experience, or education to marry you.

1) In order to stamp the TD visa at the US consulate in Chennai, India, is there any minimum salary requirement for the TN visa holder?

2) And do we also have to submit past tax returns & W2’s for TD visa stamping.
