TD Status with Marriage License but no certificate

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a TD Visa with CBP without a marriage certificate.
I recently got married and we have our marriage license filled out by the province and signed off by the wedding officiant. Pretty much everything is completed, and now we're waiting for the province to issue us a certificate.

The problem is the marriage certificate can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks...
I am wondering if a marriage license by itself would work, or if we have to wait for the certificate.

If you were just recently married, then whatever you have will suffice. If you were married five years and had no certificate, then that would be a problem.
