Hi,

I want to know about TD status holder how many days can stay in canada. bcz He want to come back on approved TD visa in US. He does not have canadian citizenship. He has PR card of canada. Will he need new visa from the us consulate. or he can used approved td status at border.

Thanks

I'm not absolutely sure what exactly you are asking. I think you want to know how long it'll take US consulate to issue the visa. Well, if everything goes well, you should get your visa on the next business day. That's what happend to my wife when she applied for her TD visa in Vancouver consulate last time. Hope this helps.

When I came in US I have one year visa. After one year I got three years approvel notic by mail with in USA. Now I am planing to visit Canada. I have valid TN status approval notic. But not have valid Visa on passport. Now please tell me how long I can stay in Canada. Can I come back USA on this TN status approval notic.

If you have a Cdn PR card, you can stay in canada forever.

I suspect you are asking how long you can stay out of US, and still be allowed to enter with the expired TD visa? Well, as long as you have an approved TD (the spouse's TN approval is not sufficient), you can re-enter US within 30 days by using the TD I-94 and the old expired Visa.

Other than that, your post is very confusing as you keep refering to TD and Visa as well as TN approval. Are you the worker (TN) or the non-Cdn spouse (TD)? If you are not Cdn, you can't have TN, and if you are Cdn, you don't need a Visa for TN or TD.

See why no one is answering your question?

So do I; and i've answered on that basis. But we shouldn't have to need a machete to cut through all these ambiguous misstatemenets.

Thanks nelsona your answer close to my question.

I apologize my last reply. which I said I have TN visa or status. I have TD status with Canadian PR. My spouse have TN status and Canadian citizenship. I live with my spouse in USA. I am planning to visit Canada for a short time. May be 10 to 15 days.

That should be fine. But remember, you need to have a valid I-94 (ie. you need to have renewed your TD by mail, I-539) to be allowed back. Otherwsie, you will need to get the TD visa at consulate and then apply for TD status at the border when re-entering.
