TD Change of Status pending, TD extension ?

I have TN to expire on 06/30/09. My wife lost job (H1B1) and i immediately applied for change of status to TD (I539) on basis of TN to expire on 06/30/09.

In the meantime I submitted for myself a TN extension (06/30/2010) which got approved but I797 not received yet - online status show approved.

It's mid of june, should i wait for my wife's TD visa approval ? or apply for TD extension assuming that change of status for my wife got approved ?

Please guide me, i'll appreciate it.

She should apply for TD (another I-539) based on your new TN and thefact that she already submitted an I-539, which makes her current status TD-pending.

The I-539 she submitted earlier kept her in status, but really has no other value, since it most likely will be approved AFTER it was meant to expire, so was never really going to be used.

I'll be applying for TD extension of status this time right ? not change of status again.
