Tax question

I work in NV on a TN while my wife continues to work in ON with 2 kids.I have been in NV for 5 months now.

Should I file as married-jointly,married-separately or head of household?

Should I go to tax preparer who is experienced with TNs or I can just walk into any HR Block and get it done?

HR block will not do a part-year return correctly.
