tax information for interview

Interview is scheduled within next 3 weeks; the first yellow note I received indicated required documents to bring along. Now the note for applications based on marriage to US citizen requires last 3 years tax information in the form of Form 1722 or copies of income tax forms filed. For the form 1722 call IRS or fill out form 4506.
My question is whether the copies of the income tax forms which I have and did submit with my app is sufficient and since these forums already mention form 4506, whether I can avoid the $60 charge per return.
Also since there was no indication that the swearing in is on the same day, is there a preferable dress requirement for the interview?

You better hurry and request original transcripts from IRS. You can call 1-800-829-1040 and request transcripts through automated system. I was able to get mine within 2 weeks. There is no fee to request them.

Tax returns and tax transcripts are two different things. USCIS is looking for tax transcripts, which are free from IRS via form 4506-T:

Business casual/use common sense.

What does USCIS look for in the Transcripts? Do they just look to make sure that you have filed taxes all the years or do they go in to the details of it like the filing status and like ?

Tax transcripts are requested when needing to prove residency or if you answered YES to question about ever having failed taxes. Otherwise, they are not usually asked for at interview.

Basically, if your transcript shows that you did not file or you filed and owe the IRS you will get denied. You need to to be up to date with your taxes prior to the interview.
