Taking count of people with WAC-01/02 still not approved - Please participate

Well My first FP was done in Oct 2002. The case was probably then thrown in some dust bin till dec 2004. That is when I contact my local senator telling them that my 2nd FP was long due and they have not sent me FP2 inspite of me and my attorneys requesting it with three written inquiries. And then the magic happened, within a week I got my FP2 appointment and the same day FP was cleared (Jan 5 2005). My attorneys followed up a week back and they were told the case is pending 'name check' and in thier (attorney's) opinion there is nothing they can do except to count beads. When it happens it will happen. Well, I donot believe them as they said the same thing when my FP2 was due.

I will wait for a week and call the congressman's office again and see if they can help me.

What is the FBI number to call to check on the progress of "Name Check".

Im in exactly same position as yours .Gave first fp everything went fine.gave second fp in aug 2004 and now my case is stuck in name check.I have sent you a private message.

On February 1, 2005, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.


I just hope it doesn't go in for name check and get stuck. I've waited too long. I hope this is the luck month for me.

no update could means:

- either it's approved, no bother
- or there is nothing exciting to update

Unfortunately we falls into the 2nd category. Because of this non-human, worse-than-Nazi torture and all the lies/excuses, and the messed up non-time-sequential processing, I have lost the faith in this government.

485 filed on jan 2002, has been and still in line for adj... for years(fp, namecheck, medical, ... all complete, just waiting for some lazy a$$ to finally wake up). And don't even mention the lawyes, those $$-oriented sneaky liers never do any real help, claim they could not get to CSC via phone for weeks, month, guess what, I got through on my very first try... all they want is to file 4th, 5th EAD, AP...
