Surprising RFE on I-485

Hi Guys,

I got RFE on my I-485 and do not know the contents of it yet. I am surprised to have got it now as my prirority date is Dec 2006(EB3). My I-140 got cleared. I recently switched over my job, so my former employer canceled my H1 and now i am on EAD. Any suggestions pl.

i received the same RFE letter for me and my husband ( 2 letterS ).

Some of the requests were

1) proof of our status for a certain period of time ( for me and my husband )

2) an employment letter ( my husband )


please, post some coments about it.


according to the bulletin the date is UNAVAILABLE ,

Some people think if the dates are not current thenyou are safe and no RFE will be triggered till the dates become current. This is wrong, RFE questioning anything could be triggerd, denial could happen, FP notice could be sent ...etc. Just respond to the RFE and accordingly.
