CLASS ACTION SUIT??

I like Silly man's idea ( he's not really silly after all :D ).

Since lawyers only do stuff for money, could we not contribute say $25 each to a kitty sent thorugh pay-pal or whatever, elect amongst ourselves a senior know mwmber to handle the funds, hire a high - profile lawyer to sue the CRAP out of TSC/INS on behalf of all I-485 filers and just bug the hell out of TSC.

Somebody will do it for a good fee.

Heck, if we can include I-140 filers too we could collect a big amount, enough to make the lawyer really pursue the issue.

Somebody with the AILA executive office / someone with some weight could really make a difference.

Feedback guys...............I say let's do it!

bkd52, are you representing one of them???

My opinion, is don't spend any EXTRA money on lawyers.
Although, lawyers are alwasys in conflict of interest since the longer it takes the better for them...

But in this kind of situation, they will have to take our side since they should feel impact of less revenue coming in...

STAIN :

YOU PICK THE LAWYER...BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE $25 TO SPEND ON AN IMPORTANT POSSIBILTY,
THAT'S O.K. TOO, THE REST OF US DO.

Well, if it's money what it takes, we'll do it, but lets try free first. I mean, who is gonna handle funds and how do you make sure it's all well and fine.

Anyhow, the crux of the matter is, INS won't move without a kick from AILA. And AILA needs enough reason to do it.

Chill Guys,

The way it can work is we start some sort of non-profit organization, elect a board of directorys/trustees, chairman, treasurer who will keep track of money and accounts, etc. Set up a paypal account for this non-profit organization and everyone can donate money. The board will need to consist of one half senior members and the other junior (that will help in continuity). Offcourse we can have elections et al. Mostly will be online. This board will be enpowered to select the attorney/lobby group etc.

To start the ball rolling, we need to set some sort of agenda for the group. Get some people who are really motivated to pitch in. Then vote for the board.
