Why? So it is OK to work illegally as long as it is not caught on the spot?

Can this diaologue happen during the interview?

IO: "So you sold alcohol to miniors?"
Applicant: "Yes, but that is resolved. Here is the court disposition"
IO: "Where did you sold alcohol to minors?"
Applicant:"In my cousin convinient store where I work as parttime clerk"
IO: "You were on F-1 and did you have work permit to work offcampus in a convinient store?"
Applicant:"Sorry I did not have work permit:"
IO:"Do you realize that it means your F-1 status became immediately invalid if you worked without INS permit? If your F-1 was out of status,
any immigration benefoit you got after shoudl be nullified"
Applicant:"Oh. Please! Get real"

Will USCIS go futher to ask that since you are selling alcohol on F-1, then you must have violated immigration law by being employed without work authorization?

It Depends on few factors.

Back in 1994, I've spent considerable amount of time researching the Immigration Law books (though I am a computers guy) after the incident and familiarize with myself on legalities.

Have u ever been on F1? I guess you were not. So to explain in detail to you when you're "NOT" in any need of that information would be out of scope of this forum. So lets help the guy in NEED than deviate from the topic.

As far as me concerned everything went so well given the circumstances. I would take 99.9999% of positive and encouraging replies to heart ..and leave the dirt to dirt itself. When there is a small tiny black dot on a big white board, a wise person would look at the white space and ignore the tiny thing...I know this small tiny loner will keep pestering us....but you know some are just like that...PIBs

Can you guarantee your future in all aspects of life will be just golden-lit shining path ahead? Bad things can happen to everyone and actually the chance that at least one bad major thing happen is very signifant for

I agree with Lukizen. Milk should have used a better THREAD heading. His headings are definitlely misleading.
