Student Visa after applying for Green Card

Hi.

I want to pursue graduate studies in US and wonder whether the fact that few years ago I applied for Green Card through my family members can cause a problem in obtaining student visa (F1 or J1).

Thank you in advance.

Having an active I-130 in the system has the potential to make acquring an F-1 difficult. For an F-1 visa, the applicant needs to overcome 214(b). Having an active I-130 makes that very difficult.

I am also in the same perdicament and need to find the answer.

To get a student visa, there are some stages to process. If there is any mismatch notice through this processing, it may be cause to reject an application. And also some difficulties can cause to get the student visa.
