Stuck in Name Check??? Let's track it

Just keep trying

I called twice. the first one refused to tell me anything but the second one checked it for me immediately. I made the two call in consecutive days. I don't think they log this kind of inquiries.

It seems they log when there is an inquiry. I cannot call again soon. What we are supposed to do in this situation?

I have called many times and every time I was told that they cannot access any more information than we see on line. So I asked many questions and she said she can raise a query with USCIS and they will reply by mail within 30 days. I am waiting for that now.
 
LUD updated on 1/24

The LUD of my I485 case was changed on 1/24/06. Could that be my name check is done? Or because I inquired about my case?

Someone's name check has been cleared in the end of Nov 2005, after almost 3 years pending (I-485 RD Feb 2003), see the link below

He did not 'make noise' by trying to contact Mr.Hardy etc.;
name check cleared by itself, and approval happened in approx. 2 months after that.
So it looks like things are moving.
Our list needs update I think, 'steveeva' posted a while ago that she left to home country, so no update from her...and I guess 'gegemon' has been approved...

What is LUD?

My priority date is March 1, 2003, I filled I485 on May 1, 2003, and still wait for NAME CHECk as they told me.

hI FOLKS,

i WANT TO KNOW IF ANY BODY HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM.
I FILED I-485 ON NOV. 2002 (CONCURRENT FILE). MY I-140 APPROVED ON NOV 2004 AND MY I -485 STILL PENDING FOR FBI NAME CHECK(FROM OCT 2003- UNTIL NOW)

ANY COMMENTS PLS TELL ME

if you registered an account with uscis you can see your LUD on line.

I485 approved

Today I received three emails saying my I485 has been approved. Now it seems the LUD change on Jan 24 was because my name check is finally cleared. Guys hold on, good things will happen at most unexpected time.

I have already filed extension for my fourth ead and ap. :(

Now my concern is: I answered a RFE in July 2005 with employment verification letter. However, I took a new job in Nov 2005 and moved to the west coast. My current company attorney was supposed to send in a AC21 letter to VSC, however they have not done that yet. What should I do in this situation? Am I screwed?

A question: Did anyone request FOIA with FBI recently? did you send it by mail or FAX? I sent a fax two weeks ago and havent got a response. should I re-do it with regular mail? thanks for your information.
 
I did it with form downloaded from FBI website and mailed it in the 1st week of Jan, I received a letter with "No record" yesterday.

I mailed my FOIPA requested 2 months ago using Rahul Kumar's format posted on previous posts. So far no reply. Do I need to use FBI's request form? Is it required to be notarized? I will greatly appreciate if you guys can provide me FBI's Fax number as well.

FBI name check: I have been questioned by FBI twice when i was student.They have all my details.After 9/11 i went to NYC along with my 10 friends and took pictures in city so FBI questioned for that reason.But every thing was cleared.

Another time it was in Texas when we went to visit a port.They questioned us and took all our details and later came to our apartments and searched.Every thing was cleared.My school authorities knew about this incidents they said there is nothing serious about it.

Now my concern is during 485 process r they going to create any problems.This kind of incidents happened a lot after 9/11 with students.

Any help in this matter is appreciated.
