Stuck in Name Check??? Let's track it

My detail for name check, and my Questions...

Hi,

My detail:

- applied for GC thru marriage in 09/2002
- FP #1 in 02/2003
- FP #2 in 08/2004
- immigration requst for name check in 07/2004 (I think)
- name check pending since 07/2004
- no interview date
- sent a update request to FBI on 02/2005 and no response yet
- sent a letter to congressman in 03/2005 and got the same response from immigration thru his office (name check pending)

Question1: How bad is the process of my GC ???? :(
Question2: How do I know when the Immigration did send the name check request?
Question3: Has anyone experinced taking the third FP?

The only way to know if/when the Name check was sent to FBI is by their email reply for the status.

Mine was requested 1/19/05
 
I sent an email to FBI in Feb 2nd week, so far no reply from them, When I called VSC ,Rep. Did not tell me if NC was completed or not. So I dont know if NC was initiated on my case or not.....

How do I find out?

Guys,

When will the name check be done, how can I find out?.

Is it, After finger prints and if your status changed to 'reviewed and processing resume' mean name check done.

or anything else?

Please let me know.

That just means you finger prints are done and accepted. it has nothing to do with your name check. You can send an email to FBI at FBINNCP.Email@ic.fbi.gov for status. But it seems to take 6 months for them to reply now.

same problem here...

I have the same problem. Concurrent filing 140 and 485 in Oct.2003 (LC filed in June.2001. approved 2003). Name check pending. sent email to FBI april.2005. no response...

I also think that name check has nothing to do with Finger Printing. I have not received FP notice yet. I had my lawyer sent an email to check the status on 485 and USCIS has responded that they have sent it for name check to FBI which they do not have control on. my signature has case details.
 
Anybody who has success pushing FBI to finish the security check, please posts. I have sent letter to them but it doesn't seem to work.

my update after interview

Folks,
Here is my interview update.
On the interview today we learned that mine and spouse's name checks are still pending :eek: :eek: :eek:
I gave to officer the "no-response" letter from FBI, she said she is going somehow request namecheck again (?or request to expedite, i am not sure) and she will use this letter...
So waiting continues....
