strange response letter from VSC

I called for my I-485 case status inquire in August, today I got the response letter. I don't understand what does it mean? The letter said: Our computer systems show that your petition/application is still pending Sevice consideration. For future status inquiries of a petition or application filed at this Center, you may want to utilize Case Status Online at www.uscis.gov. This letter didn't say anything about the FBI name checks. what dose the pending Sevice consideration mean? anyone has similar response letter?

What is the RD for your I 485? Is ur PD current?

Didi you call them to find out what that means? Never heard of this before. Keep us posted
 
Just called VSC

I just called VSC. A nice sweet lady told me, that my case is currently being reviewed by a officer, I should get response within 30 days.

I have the similar situation.
Do you know your name check status? What is your category, EB1 or EB2?
 
I am in EB1. I called VSC three weeks ago, and was told my security checks is pending. And today I was told I am under review by an officer. My LUD is 09/09/06. I guess my name checks is completed around this date. what is the automatic phone message of your case? when is your LUD?
 
I am EB1 too.
My congressman's office called USCIS three weeks ago and was informed that the name check is still pending. But today I got the message from Congressman's office that VSC is still checking the status. I would assume there is some movement since his last call. I should hear some good news soon. My LUD is still 08/07/06.

The automatic phone message is "Our review of you finger print result for I485 has been completed....." after "no record found" message for about a week. What about yours?

My automatic phone message is the same as yours. when did your message changed from no found to our reviews of the finger prints? mine is around 09/12 and my LUD is 09/09. This message change could be a good sign.
 
I had the message change about the same time as yours. But as I know, many folks got this message change. Still I hope this is a good sign for NC clear.

Same here, I have six applications (myself & family). One thing is strange, I applied (10 application including EADs & APs), they are not touching these cases since 09-06-2006. Otherwise, USCIS takes 2-4 weeks for these kind of cases.
 
exactly same mesage changes around the same time. but i went for Infopass last week and was told that security check still pending. not sure whether the misterious phone message changes indicate any action taken on our cases. Funny that the time they updated the message to "FP review completed..." was 18 months after my FP was reviewed and 3 months after it was expired.
 
it is also possible that 2004 cases have finally come back from FBI, which is a good sign. Fingers crossed for you Chenlencba :)
 
assur, I also applied for my EAD on 09/06 RD, 09/07 ND. There is a LUD on 09/13 after that no change. Dont know what is happening at VSC. All my previous applications were approved within 3-4 weeks

Since we applied for the EAD in the same time, please keep me posted with any updates. I will do the same

my_gc_pain, if FBI has cleared or is clearing 2004 cases, then USCIS could save money to send us GC instead of EADs/APs. Sure, I'll post status.
USCIS knows better.
 
I just called VSC and was told my NC is still pending.
So I think LUDs and phone message change doesn't mean anything.
