strange reply of Status Enquiry

Yesterday we received response of status enquiry i did on 6th oct.
It says "pending for service consideration"..Please allow 60 to 90 days.."
What does this mean?
My RD is in SEPT 2002 and processing date is of November'02. In this case should I fax a letter to expedite the approval of my case? I've confirmed that name check and finger prints results are all done.

Pl. guide the best way to have the approval ASAP.

The processing date (if you are referring to the official VSC processing dates for I-485s) is actually June 1st, 2003 since the most recent update. This date should be viewed with a lot of skepticism though -- there are many, many earlier cases which aren't yet adjucated.

The above message seems to be the generic "blow off" message saying that your case is in the pipeline (as they all are) and not to bother us for another 60 - 90 days...

Personally, I'd give it about that much time then try again and start thinking about contacting your local senator (although your mileage may vary)...

LiveAndLetLive - I got response by mail.

I've already sent an email to Senator using his website but no response yet.
Is there any harm in sending expedite request? They have aksed to allow 60 to 90 days but what if we DO NOT WANT TO ALLOW them.

Anyway, I need to apply for 3rd EAD. I thought, I will not waste money but will have to.

Please apply for ur 3rd EAD as soon as possible and it might trigger some movement in your case as we have seen from some other postings in this forum
 
yeah, will do that soon.

For 2nd EAD, i applied online. And received it very late. Had to go for intrim EAD. I also noticed the mail application triggered approval for some. So, i am thinking to apply by mail this time.

Does anyone suggest which one is better?
