Strange!!!Interview done..but no decision yet..

Hi All!

I attended the interview with my US Citizen wife in Philadelphia on Jul 25 2007. First the officer asked many questions related to how we met and how we got married. After that he looked at the pictures. Our lawyer was sitting behind us.

Finally officer told us that he does not have my "A" file(because I am H1 B holder)...and he will get that and then call us again.

Its been one month..they didnt change the status..but they updated the date on 8/8/07....same status.

Is this happened only to me or anyone already in my shows before....Just checking.

Our lawyer said he knows that officer and everything will be fine....but I need to goto India as its been 2 years..and they didnt approve GC.

Any suggestions what to do in this situation would be appreciated!
 
TRY TO SEND LETTER TO THE supervisor , at philadelphia DO . INQUIRE last update on you case , but usually it take 90 days from the date of the interview to send you letter , so wait , infopass wont do for you anything , i did more than 4 when my case was pending , then my lawyer wrote letter to their supervisor after 90 days paased and got approved aweek later .

Your name check might still be pending. If so, let's hope that clears soon. There is a thread in this forum for those who already have had their interview but name check pending. Apply for the Advance Parole document, just in case you need it. Good luck.

Do you mind posting your detailed interview experience?
 
My A-file was also missing at my AOS interview. 91 days later I got my approval notice. Good luck!!!

I wouldnt be so worried, I had my interview exactly one month ago and i didnt receive a decision then. I think we were stuck on the fbi background check. Well last week i received an email from uscis that my permanent resident card production has been ordered. Anyhow, some officers tell you whether you're approved or not on your interview and others wont.
 
Thanks to FBI name check, no one can get a decision immediately after interview. The waiting time could be years...
