Still waiting for decision

My inetrview was done in Saltlake DO on 23-Apr-2010. The IO officer kept my case in pending asking for some additional information like proof of stay for the last 5 yrs, taxes files etc. I submitted all the information on the same date. Its almost 4 weeks and still I did not hear any thing back from DO. Online status still shows Testing and Interview.

Very frustrated because of this wait

what dou you mean with proof of stay. Your passport shows that. Or you mean show proof of places you have been leaving??. Why does the IO ask about it??

Proof of maintaining primary US abode since continuous residency was likely in question.

Bob,

So is it a mandatory question in all the interviews???: I don´t have date for my interview yet and I am preparing documentation.

I have been leaving in the same place for the 5 years renting a room in a house.
- Do I need to proof that I have been leaving there for the 5 years.??
- What do you think I can show like proof?? I have tax returns for 5 years but don´t have utility bills.

Do you have extended trips that put continuous residency into question?

do you have any lease signed with your landlord where you have been living?

No, I only left the USA for 13 days in 5 years.

I don´t have any lease signed with my landlord. I don´t know if it should be fine with a sworn affidavit from my landlord. I have my federal and state taxes but I dont know if this is the best proof.
 
I think tax papers should be fine. Proof of continuous residency is required only in case if people had travelled outside US and for a long time.... and may be more than once.

In your case I think you should be fine.

relax, iceway, you're still worrying too much and driving yourself crazy :)

with 13 days out of the country, there should not be much doubt on you meeting continuous residency. Having tax returns along to the interview does not hurt but is likely also unnecessary for the clear-cut cases where folks have been in the country most of the time. Unless there are unusual circumstances in your recent past (e.g. you had to move often for work or it's not obvious that you meet the 3months minimum of having lived in the DO's region), you should not need an affidavit from your landlord.
If you think you have an unusual situation, ask here in the forum what doc should help you. If your case is mainstream, keep learning the civics question and look forward to your interview
 
Took the Infopass appointment last week. IO told that my case is in review and he does not have any time line when the review will be completed. I completed my interview on Apr 23rd and that time IO asked me to submit some documents. I submitted all the documents on the same day. So what are the options infront of me now

Be patient and inquire every 30 days about the status of your case. After 90 days after interview, consider contacting congressperson if you still don't have an answer.Finally, after 120 days after interview consider contacting Ombudsman or filing lawsuit if you don't have an answer by then.
