Status Message Update

Hi everybody,

The Status message changed. I am sure for everybody. Like one poster said, they are now less vague (see message below). The question I have is since they say that I "should receive a written decision or update within 60 days of the date" they receive my RFI/REF does that mean I can bug them now??? I haven't heard anything from them. They have my medical as well as my BIO!!!

"You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done."

I called USCIS 1800 number back in September and a voice message said the same thing that "you should expect get a decision within 60 days after they received RFI". That was the reason for me to inquire my case since I sent my RFI in May and IO agreed to submit an inquiry on my behalf recognizing it as a valid reason. So I would suggest you to start bugging them ASAP.

You were first person to responde my add on this forum when I have joined.I wish you good luck and I think it's good news for everyone who are waiting for long time.

I wish everything will go all right.

Please don't be pesimestic and be optimistic all the time.

I am sure...Just you need very short time.

Thanks Minsk. I will do that on Monday. By the way, do you think that inquiry helped you with getting approved or do you think you just got approved because your time was up?

I am surprised you remembered that I was the first one to reply to you back then. I am glad I was able to help you in any way.

Thanks for the best wish and for the advise. I will definitely stay optimistic. It's just that sometimes it takes too long! By the way, I know you got your card already, but I forgot your timeline. Can you remind me of your timeline?

Thanks for the timeline. We took the Bio almost at the same time (mine was on 2/15/06)!!! Getting your GC in 4 years since you came is not so bad right!!!? Good for you! I am happy for you!

Although I applied for asylum in 1999 (and approved in 2000), I have been in the US since 1993. I feel I have been waiting a long time! I hope my time will come soon!

By the way, thanks for staying around on this forum to help and keep our moral up!!!
 
You are very welcome MTCgrl.I got my GC after 4 years to come USA.If we compare the some other cases which before then me I think it's good.

Anyway it was the long period to wait without knowing anything about the process was really pain.I am very happy right now and waiting next step.

Your bio time is very close to mine.I am sure you will get the news from USCIS very soon.Just be relax and keep the hope alive.

I will be aorund here till to get the citizenship.We all of us sharing same future in this country.

By the way happy thanks giving to everyone.
