My employer advertised $90K wage for a managerial position on all advertisement including Newpapers, web site etc. Yesterday, I noticed that on State Workforce Agency job order the wage advertisement is substantially less (only $64K)? Is this normal? (I know that my attorney's paralegal is really bad when it comes to typing :mad: ) Can someone please help me based on their experience.
 
Once you get pw from SWA, the wages must put in to all the advt.

This seems to be mess from attorney side.

Proffered salary should ONLY be mentioned in internal job posting which has to to posted on employer's business place for ten consecutive business days. It is not required to be mentioned in newspaper ads or SWA job order
 
I have a prevailing wage question too.... My lawyer asked for the PW for the first time about 3 months ago and PW came up way too high than I get, then she changed my title and the job desc. and sent again but received the same number for different title. she emailed me yesterday saying that she tried 8 different titles and desc. for my position but every time she got the same number. looks like they don't even look what the the job title and desc. is. they gave the PW once and kept sending the same amount regardless the title.

Any one has any idea what is going on? anyone had the same problem? can we appeal the state for giving the same number regardless of the job title?

This is very frustrating, if I can;t get the PW than we won't be able to apply for GC... and there goes my dreams, my 11 years of hard work....

Help? please?
 
Can the advertisements be placed while the prevailing wages are determined or you can place an AD only once you recieve the prevailing wage from SWA?

The reason is in nur07 case, even if the wage changes then the advertisement can hold good
